Mikhail Fridman is a Russian from Lviv, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. He is a businessman magnate and a multinational Russian conglomerate. In 2017 He was the 7th richest Russian and ranked as Russia’s most important businessman by BNE InteliNews.

He is the co-founder of LetterOne, Alfa Group and Alfa Bank. He has a net Worth of $15 billion dollars as of 2019. In Russia he founded the one of the largest private bank the ALFA BANK in year 1991. The company Alfa Group acquired 44 percent stake in Golden Telecom, one of the largest telecommunications and internet company in Russia. The Alfa Telecom was rename in 2005 as Altimo, the acquisitions includes Megafon, Vimpelcom, Golden Telecom and Kyivstar. And later in December 2005 Altimo acquired 13.2 percent of Turkcell one of the largest telecoms in Turkey.

In 2013 Fridman became the chairman of LetterOne together with Aven and Kosogov headquartered in Luxembourg. The LetterOne had $29 billion in assets and on March 2015 L1 company acquired oil and gas company, but later in October 2015 Fridman the L1 group sold L1 energy British North Sea assets to Ineos a petrochemical owned by Jim Ratcliffe for $750 million.
